Draw blood in a lavender-top (EDTA) tube(s), plasma gel tube(s) is not acceptable. Mix well, centrifuge at ambient temperature within one half hour of draw (preferably immediately after venipuncture), and freeze immediately on dry ice or at -70 C. Send 1 mL of EDTA plasma frozen in plastic vial.
