Draw blood in a plain, red-top tube(s). (Serum gel tube is not acceptable.) Spin down and send 2 mL of serum frozen in a preservative-free plastic vial. Specimen must be frozen immediately or results will be compromised.
Plasma
Draw blood in a lavender-top tube(s) or a pink-top tube(s). (Plasma gel tube is not acceptable.) Spin down and send 2 mL of EDTA plasma frozen in a preservative-free plastic vial. Specimen must be frozen immediately or results will be compromised.
