Submit only 1 of the following specimens:

Serum:

Draw blood in a plain, red-top tube(s). (Serum gel tube is not acceptable.) Spin down and send 1 mL of serum refrigerate in amber vial (Supply T192) to protect from light.

Note:  Label specimen appropriately (serum).

Plasma:

Draw blood in a purple-top (EDTA) tube(s). (Plasma gel tube is not acceptable.) Spin down and send 1 mL of EDTA plasma refrigerate in amber vial (Supply T192) to protect from light.

Note:  Label specimen appropriately (plasma).
