Yes-associated protein (YAP) is a downstream regulatory target in the Hippo signaling pathway that is upregulated in sonic hedgehog-associated medulloblastomas and medulloblastomas with activation of the Wnt signaling pathway and is expressed on lung, placenta, prostate, ovary, and testis.

Cautions

Age of a cut paraffin section can affect immunoreactivity. Stability thresholds vary widely among published literature and are antigen-dependent. Best practice is for paraffin sections to be cut within 6 weeks.
